On August 28, the Chef University culinary studio hosted an engaging masterclass dedicated to Christmas baking. Under the guidance of two experts—technologist Nadiya Ivanova and Brand Chef Ruslan Vycherov—participants discovered the secrets of creating traditional holiday desserts.
The masterclass offered a rich and varied program. Participants learned to prepare a selection of exquisite festive treats, including:
-
English Christmas Cake
A traditional Christmas Cake filled with dried fruits, nuts, and aromatic spices. It delivers a deep, sweet flavor with hints of dark rum and warm, festive spices. -
Marbled Sablé with Mandarin Confit and Candied Fruits
A delicate, crumbly cookie featuring a marbled pattern created by blending vanilla and chocolate doughs. This version is enhanced with mandarin confit and candied fruits, adding bright fruity notes and a subtle, fragrant aroma. -
Marzipan Ginger Cookies
These cookies combine the sweetness of marzipan with the spiciness of ginger. They have a rich taste, slightly crisp exterior, and soft, tender interior. -
Chocolate-Malt Cake
A cake with a deep, layered flavor profile. The rich cocoa taste is perfectly complemented by malt notes, which add light caramel hints and a pleasant sweetness that balances the cocoa’s slight bitterness. -
Portuguese Christmas Cake
A large, round cake packed with dried fruits, nuts, and candied peel. It has a rich, sweet flavor with subtle spice accents. -
Malt Stollen
A traditional German Christmas bread with a dense texture and rich taste, enhanced with raisins, nuts, and spices. The malt variation features an intense malty note that harmonizes beautifully with the aromatic spices and dried fruits. -
Gingerbread Cookies
A classic holiday treat, spiced with ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. These cookies are crisp with a rich flavor and a warm, lingering aftertaste. -
Pistachio Pandoro
An Italian festive bread, soft and tender in texture, enriched with the delicate aroma and flavor of pistachios.

To achieve perfect flavor profiles and textures, the chefs used high-quality ingredients from Best Way Foods, including:
